There are six universities in Hirakata and they provide their students with highly-sophisticated knowledge as an institution for higher education. The six universities are Kansai Gaidai University, Kansai Medical University, Osaka Dental University, Osaka International University, Osaka Institute of Technology, and Setsunan University.
